1. What size wheel do you run the tire on?
19” Diameter, 1.80”-2.15” width
2. What air pressure is optimal?
12psi -14 psi. If corners are flat, slow slick you may want to drop air pressure 1-2 psi.
3. What conditions is this tires performance optimal?
The tire and tread pattern are for intermediate conditions. The tread pattern and compound covers a wide range of terrain from loose and loomy to hard pack conditions.
4. Is the tire directional?
Yes, for the front tire mount the date tin towards the rotor side of the wheel and for the rear tire mount the date tin towards the sprocket side of the wheel.
5. Do I have to change anything on my bike when going to a Hoosier rear?
There are a few thing you may look at:
1. Take a couple of mm of sag out of the rear to make up for rear traction
2. Lower the front forks 1-2 mm to help cornering with the increase of rear traction
3. Because of the increased traction you may want to go up 1 tooth on the rear sprocket
6. Do you produce a 120/80-19?
Yes, the 120/80-19 is now available in the IMX20, IMX25 and IMX30 compounds.
7. Do you produce a 80/100-21 front?
Yes, the front 80/100-21 is now available in the MX25 and MX30 compounds.
8. What is the best racing high performance compound choice for me?
Rear:
IMX20 - compound is for the racer that wants optimal performance, but the wear of the tire is going to be more than usual. Soft to Intermediate conditions
IMX25 – compound is for the racer that wants optimal performance but the wear will not be as fast as the IMX20. This compound will give performance along longevity. Hard intermediate to soft conditions
IMX30 – compound is for the rider that would like a little more performance but also the longevity of a tire to allow them to ride as needed without worrying about a tire wearing out. This compounds better suites a “weekend warrior” type rider that wants a little extra performance but not an empty wallet. Intermediate to hard conditions
