Hoosier Performs Well at NMCA

This past weekend NMCA rolled into Atlanta Dragway, known as the House of Hook and it did not disappoint with its eighth-mile racing as NMCA’s quickest and fastest category, VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod set national records in both ET and MPH.

First it was Sweden’s Adam Flamholc who led qualifying with a 3.72 and 201.73 mph blast from his 1963 split-window Corvette powered by a 526 Hemi and Roots-style supercharger picking up a national record for elapsed-time.

Right behind him was Steve Summers, who reached 3.82 and an incredible 216.03 mph to take the second-qualified spot in his turbocharged Camaro picking up a national record for MPH.

The pair proved formidable throughout eliminations, and met in the final, where Flamholc flew to a 3.80 to find victory over Summers and his 3.85.
