LAKEVILLE, IN – Hoosier is proud to release a newly designed spec tire for the SCCA Formula Enterprise class beginning in 2019. The new “FE” tire is equipped with an advanced tire construction and slightly modified tread compound that offers high levels of performance without compromising the durability and consistency aspects that are essential for spec tire racing.
The new “FE” tires will utilize a slightly taller front, which has a crisper, more responsive feel that neutralizes the balance of the car. These tires are also more predictable, forgiving, and controllable at the limit, which inspires driver confidence. A good baseline hot pressure range is between 16-17 psi hot.
The FE rain tires are also redesigned with an updated construction and innovative “W3” rain compound for 2019. The “W3” has substantial wet traction properties that enable the driver to maneuver effortlessly in full wet conditions. Below are the slick and wet tire specifications.
