LAKEVILLE, IN – With the increase in Vintage and Historic Class racing, Hoosier Tire has introduced specifically designed race tires for the Formula 5000, Can Am classed vehicles, and other Group 7 cars.
These tires are added to the Vintage Slick and offer high level performance along with a significant cost savings. These tires will be made with the track tested R35B tread compound which offers maximum grip and durability for multiple race weekends. The construction offers the high level of performance for any level of vintage driver.
The Formula 5000 tires debuted at the 2018 WeatherTech International Challenge, Road America producing a third place finish by Rick Parsons. The F5000 performance history was then fortified by Craig Bennett, (pictured above) winning a Monterey Pre-Historic feature and both F5000 feature races in Jim Bartell’s 1976 Shadow DN6 at the 2018 Rolex Monterey Motorsports reunion.
