Better Product Identification Now Available for Drag Products

GOOD NEWS TO ALL PRO MOD, PRO STOCK, TOP SPORTSMAN and BRACKET CARS ALIKE!

Lakeville, IN - Hoosier is making it easier for the racer! We have taken one of the best performing and most proven tires in the big tire ranks which is part (18780) 17.0/34.5-16 C2055 and made it simpler for the racer to identify.

For years we have made a “short” version under the same part number which made it harder for the racer to identify. The shorter version was generally for naturally aspirated Pro Stock and Top Sportsman cars and the original version was generally for power adder cars and Pro Mods of all sorts.

Hoosier will continue to produce the original (18780) 17.34.5-16 with chalks generally 114 inches and larger (no changes).

The shorter tire will obtain the new part 18778SH 17.0/34.5-16 SH. This tire will have a “SH” on the sidewall as well as the word “SHORT” on the label. These tires should generally have chalks 113.75 and smaller.
